|Tongue web piercing.

So today I got my tongue web pierced. I have wanted my tongue done for about 4 or 5 years, but my tongue is just way too short, and if I could get it done, it would be on the very very end of it. So I decided to get my tongue web done instead :)
I looked into it a lot and read about other peoples experiences etc and then decided I definately wanted it done. A bonus was that I could keep it hidden from my parents and from pretty much anyone I didn't want to see it.
First of all I went Shermanics in Westcliff/Southend and asked if they could do it. They answered me with a huge groan and a 'why do you want that done?' This was because the piercer there said she found it tricky to do. She continued by saying that I would have to be in it just as much as her, and to stay still because it would take a long time. She then said it would cost £35 and deffinately would not do it for any cheaper because of how like fiddly it was.
I knew about all the stuff she said but was very put off by her attitude towards it so decided to go to Kims in Southend.
(she said that was fine and was not offended)
Anyways, got to Kims and asked if it was possible to get it done - he said yes, he would go set up and it would cost £20. I signed my form and was already sitting on the bed thing ready to get it done.
I was asked whether I wanted a ring, bar or curved bar. I had no clue so he suggested a curved bar.
My mouth was numbed, but not too much like at the dentist where you feel half your face is falling off. Anyways, he done that with two cotton buds then asked me to lift my tongue up as far as I could. I have an extremely short tongue and am nearly tongue tied so this was where I thought maybe I wouldn't be able to get it done. He asked me to push my tongue out, I did, he said right out, I nodded again to show that my tongue was indeed right out.
(my tongue cannot go past my bottom lip) He still carried on and within a few seconds it was done, the piercing itself at least. I barely felt the needle go through. The tricky part was trying not to swallow while he fit the balls on. After a few tries it was done. I rinsed my mouth out a few times to make sure I had all the blood out my mouth - there was one little gloup which was a bit gross, and that was it.
I love it. It has not swollen at all although I was told that sometimes these do so I am prepared. I use mouthwash every time after I eat and will be using warm salt water to wash it before I go to bed. I was told not to use listerine because it would just burn my mouth.
I would deffinatly recomend Kims.
Also, I have no problems with my speaking, and can eat ok, just in small bits.
I will update on how this goes.
